What exactly is ‘energy healing’?

If you want to find the secrets to the universe, think in terms of frequency, energy and vibration.
— Nikola Tesla

Energy healing is…

ChakrasEF400X600.jpeg

The use of intention and visualization to alter an experience in the physical world by working with issues at their source – within the energy field. Your energy field contains your chakras, nadis, meridians and the aura (also known as the ‘electromagnetic field’). These energy centers work together as a system within your body to process emotional energy (yours and other’s) and access cosmic and environmental energies for you to experience and ultimately manifest physically. Think of your energy system as one more ‘system’ in your body, such as the nervous or lymphatic systems, and like such will directly impact your physical health when there are imbalances. Elemental Energy focuses on the experiences and health of the auric and etheric energy fields; including the seven primary chakras.

Based upon the principles of quantum physics, everything, at the most basic level, is energy. If every thing is energy, then it can be inferred that all of our experiences (emotions, beliefs, behavioral patterns, stress, pain, etc.) start at the energetic level.

Stagnation in the flow of energy can create energetic scar tissue, which begins to manifest itself in our physical bodies as pain, discomfort and illness. (An example of this is when stress is held in the body. Over time it can evolve into sleep disorders, gastrointestinal problems, heart disease and more.)

In a session, I assess your energy for imbalances and seek to determine the patterns and habits that have lead to stagnation. In addition to working to restore clarity and balance within your energy field, I teach you skills so you can evolve your healing beyond the treatment space.

CERTIFIED ENERGY PRACTITIONER

I began my training with Jill Leigh at the Energy Healing Institute (Boston, MA) in 2007, received my certification in 2010. In 2011, I opened The Breathing Room, a yoga and wellness studio in NY. In addition to my client practice, I also developed cross disciplinary workshops, combining energy healing with Iyengar yoga, as well as taught energy grounding techniques in various school programs. In 2013, I moved to California to pursue the next chapter for my family, and am called to begin my practice once again.

Read my blog post, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” to learn how energy healing saved my life and why I want to bring it to the world.
